If I could go back in time to my youth and live my life over again, I would wholeheartedly dedicate it to Christ. There are certain aspects of my life that I gave away—things I now realize were invaluable. One of them is my purity. I wish I had held on to it until marriage because, back then, I didn’t fully understand the depth of what sex truly is.
Many see sex as merely a physical act, but it is so much more. It is one of the highest forms of intimacy, a sacred exchange that intertwines not just bodies but spirits and souls. With every encounter, a part of you is connected to someone else, and those bonds are not easily broken.
That’s why I want to encourage young people today: You don’t have to compromise. You don’t have to sell your bodies or trade your moral values for fleeting success. What the world often calls “success”—the fame, the applause, the admiration—can sometimes mask deep pain and regret. What we see on the surface isn’t always the full story.
This realization was the driving force behind Unequally Yoked. I wanted to share this message with those of you who feel pressured to conform, to remind you that you are worth more and that true fulfillment comes from walking in God’s purpose, not from sacrificing your values for temporary validation.
